This little sneaky mofo Tim thought as Booman gave him the full scope of the neighborhood and its suppliers and inconsistencies that the twins watch for constantly. Booman let Tim know that from 112th and Michigan all the way to 115th and Michigan, the twins owned 90% of the stores which they leased to anyone from the Asians to the Arabs, to regular guys from the hood who sold whatever as a mask to illegal activities. “Over east?” Tim replied. “I’m trying to get my grind on out south, where the hell did the east side come in?” He asked puzzled and somewhat irritated.
“The twins’ presence can be felt over east too. But they don’t have stopping grounds out there. They push their weight through some cat named C-low,” Booman said. “If we can cut in on that action in South Shore, we can still put a dent in their pockets and it would lay the ground work for us to get in on Roseland.” Booman could see Tim wasn’t really going for his plan.
“Look, the twins have eyes and ears everywhere in Roseland,” Booman stated puffing on a Newport. “They know their product, and keep track of everyone who sells it, and how much they sell.” He also added that it only applied to people who bought larger quantities. “So if you want to push weight, we need to test the waters and start over east.” Booman said. “That way, not only will you get a larger customer base, but you’ll have a backdoor to the twins’ empire out south. And you don’t have to test the waters with weed, you can hit the streets with some of that butter.”
Tim pondered this suggestion as he rolled up a blunt from his personal stash. He knew Mako was ready to flood the Roseland area with his product, but as of now, the safest thing to sell was hydro, until they could find a way around the twins. And it was lucrative, but not as lucrative as the crack or heroin business.
“So I take it you know some cats over east willing to get down how they live?” Tim asked handing Booman the spliff.
“I got a few people in mind who C-Low decided couldn’t eat over east anymore. They on standby, ready to get this paper.”
Tim couldn’t help but to wonder how this dude had connects of some kind all over the city, but didn’t have the bread to show for it. That was a red flag for him. This little nigga couldn’t really be trusted, and before deciding to agree with his plan, Timmo made a mental note to keep a close eye on this dude.
“Alright my man, tell me what you need so we can get it cracking on the Shore.”
Before Booman left, Timmo hit his hand with a half a bird of cola and gave him one week to return his profit.
“Booman,” Timmo said stopping him before he left out the door. “Just a word of advice… I don’t play with my money.
